PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of cooling air fed to a radiator and enhance the cooling function of an oil pan, by extending an under-cover for an engine compartment from the position of a front cross member to a rear end part of a lower part of the engine. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle is running, an airflow T2 passing below the engine room R moves in the rearward direction of the vehicle while maintaining a positive pressure, a portion of the airflow T2 is introduced into the engine compartment R through an opening 14 after passing along a guide wall 13 of an emboss part 11 of the under cover C, and collides against a projected part 9 provided at the lower end of the oil pan 2 to cool an engine oil. On the left and right sides of the opening 14, the airflow T2 passing below the engine compartment R moves in the rearward direction of the vehicle along the under-cover C extended to the rear end part of the engine E. Accordingly, the radiator 3 is constantly supplied with the fresh outside air, and the cooling effect of the radiator 3 is enhanced. |
