<p>PURPOSE:To suppress suction at a low load time and enable effective reducing of NOX through a simple structure wit neither suction system bypass and nor throttle valve, by installing a low-load detector and a braking device for stopping the operation of a supercharger in a suction path by means of a detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:When an engine load is brought to a low-load condition below a given value, a low-load condition detecting signal is outputted from a deciding circuit 14, a controller actuates and simultaneously an on-off valve 17 on a bypass path 16 is opened. As a result, a supercharger 5 stops operating to suspend a supercharging function. In which case, a blower 6 is standing in a flow path in a condition to be brought to a stop, and serves as a resistance against suction air to obtain also a function to throttle suction air. Thus, a quantity of air sucked is reduced compared with that which is sucked in case no supercharger is mounted, and in a diesel engine in which surplus air is originally sucked at a low-load time, suction air is appropriately suppressed. This reduces a combustion temperature at the inside of an engine and decreases NOX.</p> |
