<p>The plastics moulding is for installing double-glazing over existing windows. It comprises a rigid channel (1) which receives the additional glass pane. A strip (3) containing holes (30) in its base (3) for mounting screws is connected to the channel by a semi-rigid link (4) which extends from one edge (31). A lid (5) integral with the other edge of the strip clips into a closed position to cover the screw heads. The inner surface of the channel (1) carries projections (20,21) which bear onto the existing frame. The semi-rigid link (4) prevents distortion of the strip, being transmitted to the additional glass pane.</p> |
