<p>PURPOSE:To enable the selective use of dissimilar kinds of batteries with the same camera, by engaging battery cases of every battery kind by means of the same mechanical and electrical engaging parts of the camera body and mounting same to the camera body. CONSTITUTION:A battery case 2 containing 4 pieces of batteries 3 therein is mounted to one side part of a camera body by means of a hook 22 in the end part and a locking mechanism 23 at the other end. Then, two members 24a, 24b of conductive plates connected to the positive and negative terminals of the batteries in the connecting part 21 on the inside surface of the case 2 contact electrically the two contacts provided in the opposed positions on the camera body, by which the voltage of the batteries 3 is applied to the electronic circuits in the camera. The case 2 differs in shape according to the kinds of the batteries to be contained therein. The selection of batteries of either SUM-3 or SUM-4 is accomplished with switches SW1, SW2 according to the presence or absence of a pressing piece 25, and the selection of either ordinary type or Ni-Cd type batteries is accomplished with a switch SW3, whereby the selective use of the dissimilar batteries is made possible.</p> |
