PURPOSE:To attain free exchange in the unit of one channel, by providing time division switches synchronized with each earth station so that satellite lines are used as if they were transmission lines in one exchange. CONSTITUTION:Lines 6 on the earth are connected to time division switches 8, and the time division multiplex signal of the switches 8 is transmitted from a transmitter 9 on the earth station to a satellite reception circuit 11 of a satellite 7. The outgoing side of the circuit 11 of the satellite 7 is connected to the incoming side of a satellite spatial split switch 12, and the outgoing side of the switch 12 is connected to the input side of a satellite transmission circuit 13. Electromagnetic waves transmitted from the satellite 7 are received at a receiver 14 of the earth station, and the reception signal is shared to the lines 6 at a time division switch 15. Through the constitution, each earth station has the time division switch memory of the same content and a spatial split switch memory synchronized with the time division switch memory. Thus, the line exchange is made possible easily by changing the content of the time division switch memory of each earth station and of the spatial split switch memory of the satellite. |
