PURPOSE:To display the character broadcast program of each display mode smoothly after the release of still display, by providing a spare memory storing the received character broadcast signal, while one desired page is still-displayed. CONSTITUTION:When the operator operates a still display means provided on a keyboard 3, the input of a refresh memory 4 is interrupted with the operation of a CPU2 and the character broadcast signal stored in the memory 4 is still- displayed on a display section 6. Further, while the input to the memory 4 is interrupted, the character broadcast signal transmitted to a buffer memory 1 is transferred to a spare memory 8 for sequential storage. In releasing the still display, the input interruption of the memory 4 is released, and the character broadcast signal is transferred from the memory 8 to the memory 4. After the transfer is finished, the character broadcast signal of each page of a desired character broadcast program stored in the memory 8 and the succeeding is transferred from the memory 1 to the memory 4 sequentially based on the order of reception and displayed on the display section 6. |
