PURPOSE:To prevent a rotor magnet from breakage by a method wherein a bush is incorporated into a rotor magnet for the elimination of the process of pressing a rotor pinion into the rotor magnet, when magnetic powder is subjected to pressure for the formation of a rotor magnet. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of magnetic powder of a rear earth intermetallic compound of SmCo5 and epoxy resin acting as binder is placed in a mold with a bush 7. The entirety including the bush 7 is exposed to a magnetic field of 10kOe or more for the orientation of the magnetic powder and, simultaneously, to pressure for forming. The resultant rotor magnet 6 now integral with the bush 7 is then heated for solidification, whereafter a rotor pinion 5 is inserted under pressure into the bush 7 for the completion of a rotor. Provision of grooves on the bush 7, with the grooves accommodating some powder when subjected to pressure for solidification, strengthens the tie between the rotor magnet 6 and bush 7. |
