PURPOSE:To provide an edge profiling welding machine which facilitates the setting of the timing of the detection of deviation in the center of oscillation and performs stable edge profiling control with high precision by comparing a peak value when a welding torch oscillates around on the right hand side of the center of oscillation with a peak value when on the right hand side, and deciding on the deviation in the center of the oscillation. CONSTITUTION:A screw rod 3 is attached pivotally to a supporting base for an oscillatory center adjusting mechanism driven in a direction (z) parallel to the lengthwise axis of an edge 1 and to the rod 3, the output shaft of a decelerating machine 4 whose input shaft couples with the rotating shaft of an oscillatory center adjusting motor M1 is fixed. A nut block 5 is threadedly engaged with the shaft 3, which is rotated forward or backward through the forward or backward rotation of the motor M to move the block 5 in a direction (y) perpendicular to the direction (z). Then, a screw rod 7 is attached pivotally to a torch elevating/lowering base 6 fixed to the block 5. The output shaft of a decelerating machine 8 is coupled with one terminal of the rod 7, and the rotating shaft of a torch elevating/lowering motor M2 is coupled with the input shaft of the decelerating machine 8. Further, a nut block 9 is engaged threadably with the rod 7, which is rotated through the rotation of the motor M2 to move the block 9 in a direction (xx) perpendicular to the directions (z) and (y). |
