发明名称 METHOD FOR CONTROLLING REVERSIBLE ROLLING MILL
摘要 PURPOSE:To perform rolling with the highest efficiency by operating and controlling a rolling schedule which satisfies both of the permissible driving power for rolling and the average value of squares of the permissible electric rolling power and at which the rolling time is made shortest by varying the idle time under no load varied. CONSTITUTION:If the specification of rolling mill is determined, the min. number of pass is determined from the curve of the driving power for rolling and the equationI. The rolling speed and the timing for starting reverse run at which the rolling time that can be selected by said number of pass is shortest are calculated. The average value of squares WRMS of the required electric power for driving in said shortest rolling time is determined by the euqation II (KWi: the required electric power for rolling of the i-th pass, KWI: the required electric power under no load, Ri: the required time for rolling in the i-th pass, Ii: the idle time under no load in the i-th pass, P: number of pass). If said value is within the permissible range of the rolling mill, said value is set as an optimum schedule value, and if the value is not in said range, the Ii is made longer, then the WRMS is decreased and in such a way the value is recalculated. The temp. of the material to be rolled in this stage differs from the temp. in the previous stage; therefore, the KWi differs and the WRMS is calculated by recalculating the driving power and speed for rolling.
