PURPOSE:To obtain stable switching operation by reducing the control currents of a switching element in response to load when the state of load is lightened. CONSTITUTION:Pulse voltage signals generated from a pulse generating circuit 1 are pulse-width modulated by a pulse width modulation circuit 2 in response to input/output voltage, and a predetermined-width pulse waveform is obtained. The output signals are applied to the base of the transistor of a voltage regulating circuit 10. When the state of load is lightened, the peak currents of the turn-ON base currents IB1 of a switching transistor Q3 can be reduced because output voltage Eo reduces in response to the change. Accordingly, the collector currents of the switching transistor Q3 are interrupted steeply, thus enabling stable control. |
