Arrangement for registering places M1-M4 on boards 36 where cutting is to be done, comprising a conveyor 10, on which the boards 36 are transported in their lengthwise direction and which is wound up by a wheel 31, which drives a pulse transmitter, mounted in a housing 30 and connected to a register. The housing 30 is rotationally mounted and connected by a cable 34 to a carriage 21 which can move back and forth along a portion of the conveyor and it is spring-loaded so that the cable 34 is wound up on a cable wheel 33, coaxially secured to the housing 30, when the carriage 21 approaches the housing 30. On the carriage 21 is mounted an element 28 which, upon detecting the front end M0 of a board 36 arriving on the conveyor 10, activates the pulse transmitter to put out a pulse train, and deactivates it when the back end M5 of the board 36 passes. Also arranged on the carriage 21 is a manually operated element 26, connected to the pulse transmitter, which is manually actuated when a straight edge 29 located on the carriage 21 is situated in front of a place M1-M4 on the board where cutting is to be done, so that this is marked in the pulse train. The arrangement is used to measure in simple fashion the length of the board 36 and easily mark the places M1-M4 where cutting is to be done, since the carriage 21 by virtue of its connection to the housing 30 of the pulse transmitter can move back and forth along the board 36 during its transit without the pulse train being affected by this. <IMAGE> |
