A method and device for temperature integration for the purpose of allocating heating and hot-water costs in centrally heated and district-heated buildings is described, in which temperature sensors which transform a detected temperature into an angle are used to measure both the heater temperature and the room air temperature, and to form a time integral of the heater temperature, the level of the room air temperature and/or the difference between the two temperatures being used to form a criterion for when recording of the heater temperature is and is not performed. <IMAGE>
