PURPOSE:To shorten a processing time, and to decrease an error, by expressing a data which exceeds a dynamic range or is too small, by means of exponential multiplying times of ''2'' as to its data, and shifting its operation result in the upper and lower directions. CONSTITUTION:In case of digital operation of a fixed point system, in order to effectively utilize a given dynamic range, as for a data which exceeds the dynamic range, or a data which is much smaller than the dynamic range, its data is expressed by means of exponential multiplying times of 2, the instructiob sequence is written in an instruction generator 12, and contents of a register 10 of its operation result are shifted to the upper or lower direction. Subsequently, this instruction sequence is executed, and the obtained operation result is fetched from an output terminal 16. |
