In a trailer train which is composed of a towing vehicle (1) and an at least two-axle trailer (2), the trailer is coupled in an articulated fashion to a trailer coupling (4) arranged centrally at the rear of the towing vehicle (1). The front axle (5) of the trailer (2) is mounted in a bogey (6) which can be rotated about an axis of rotation (8) running at right angles with respect to the longitudinal central axis (7) of the trailer (2) as a function of the locking angle of the forked draw bar (3), and the rotary bearing (9) of said trailer being connected rigidly to the support frame (10) of the trailer (2). So that the distance between the towing vehicle and trailer can be selected to be as small as possible in order to reduce the air resistance and to increase the loading surface and so that, nevertheless, the ability to travel around bends and be shunted can be retained, it is proposed to couple the forked draw bar (3) to a steering part (11) which is mounted on the support frame (10) so as to be rotatable about an axis (12) which is offset in parallel on the longitudinal central axis (7) of the trailer with respect to the axis of rotation (8) of the bogey (6) towards the front side (16) of the trailer (2), and to equip the bogey (6) with a slide bar (15) which runs at right angles to the front axle (5) and intersects the axis of rotation (8) of the bogey (6) and in which a steering rod (13) is displaceably guided, which steering rod is coupled to the steering part (11) so as to be swivellable about an axis (14) running parallel to the axis of rotation (8). <IMAGE>
