There is a lack of space in many bathrooms since the space in the bathroom is taken up completely by a bathtub, a toilet and a wash basin. There is often no possibility to accommodate a washing machine. A possibility of solving this problem is shown in the patent application. The decisive factor is that the wash basin is integrated in the washing machine in a manner saving as much space as possible in order thus to guarantee optimum space utilisation.
