A longitudinally displaceable interlocking roof tile is described, the profiling of which consists, on the upper side, of side-groove part, covering-groove part and head-groove part with a recess in the head covering-groove corner, and the profiling of which consists, on the rear side, of a suspension nose, side-groove parts adapted to the side-groove and covering-groove parts of the upper side, a foot interlocking joint and a recess in the foot side-groove corner. Provided in the head-groove part are two mutually parallel head ribs, the head edge rib taking up the entire narrow side of the tile and ending at the side edge of the recess in the head covering-groove corner. The inner head rib running parallel to the head edge rib has the same height as the head edge rib and connects a longitudinal rib, bounding the side-groove part, to the covering-groove part and merges flush into the profile of the covering-groove part. The foot interlocking joint consists of two foot ribs arranged parallel at a distance from one another.
