The invention relates to a coil former for a high-voltage-resistant transformer, using shell cores for electrical isolation of circuits. This coil former is constructed such that the insulation of the wire outlet guide with respect to the core is achieved without using insulating hose. The coil former consists of a winding body, an annular insulating part having projections arranged on the circumference, and a disc-like insulating part having projections arranged on the circumference. The ends of the windings located on the winding former are passed to the exterior in an insulated manner through projections forming hollow channels. <IMAGE>
