The invention relates to a rotary actuating handle for doors, windows or the like, with a lock cylinder arranged in the headpiece of the handle and intended for locking the rotational movement of the handle relative to its screw-on bearing plate by means of a locking projection which engages into a bolt orifice of the screw-on bearing plate as a result of the displacement of the lock cylinder designed as a pressure cylinder, and, to achieve a form of construction which can employ commercially conventional pressure cylinders, proposes that the pressure-cylinder housing (24) be held by a resilient blocking member (33) shiftable into the locking position by the locking web (27), and that it carry a fixing screw (29) which can be screwed transversely to its direction of displacement out of the pressure-cylinder housing (24) into a slot of the handle headpiece (10) and which, in the unlocking position, is aligned with a tool insertion orifice (30). <IMAGE>
