摘要 The invention relates to a spherical-piston device for engines/machines having elements which bound chambers, which execute a tumbling movement relative to one another and of which one is designed as a housing construction and the other is designed as a piston. The mutually displacing mating surfaces of the housing construction and of the piston are designed as spherical surfaces. The interior of the housing is divided into chambers by vanes, the centre plane of which contains the axis of the housing. The vanes are inserted into recesses in the piston disc, the movement-compensation units ensuring the sealed mechanical connection between these two elements. The movement-compensation units are of fork-like design, the fork prongs surrounding the vanes and being mounted rotatably in the recesses on the piston disc. The design of the movement-compensation unit differs depending on the number of vanes. If there are more than two vanes, then - by rotation in the movement-compensation unit - the axis of the rotary fork surrounding the vanes rotates in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the piston disc. As a result, the respective angle between the axes of two adjacent rotary forks changes and the piston executes a tumbling movement.
