PURPOSE:To attain picture transmission with instant response at any time to an output request from an output control section, by providing two memory devices storing the same picture information and making one memory device in waiting for the picture transmission at all times even during the diagnosis of failure. CONSTITUTION:A changeover switch SW3 of a channel multiplexer 2 is selected to the A channel (a) and picture information is transmitted from a memory 1A of the channel A to an output controller C3 via the switch SW3, then an output request signal r2 is generated from an edition output controller C2, a system controller 3 receives it and gives a switching control signal (q) to the B channel (b) to a changeover switch SW2 of the multiplexer 2. The failure diagnosis by a test data generation and check circuit 6 is executed when both the memories 1A, 1B are not used, either one of the memories 1A, 1B is made inoperative (waiting state), allowing to respond instantly to an output request signal r3 for ON-AIR from the output controller C3 instantly at any time. |
