PURPOSE:To provide the titled controller capable of accurately setting a printing position irrespectively of the position of a web at the time of starting, by a method wherein feed of a web is stopped by detecting an end part of parts to be detected which are provided for the web at predetermined intervals. CONSTITUTION:A detector S1 is fitted to a feed passage 4 between a feeder 20 and a printer 30, and a detection signal at an ''H'' level is outputted when the detector S1 detects a detection hole 1b provided in the web 1 being fed. A detector S2 outputs a signal at a ''L'' level when detecting a part of the web 1 other than the part to be detected. Either one of the first and second signals is discriminated as a detection signal, and when the detection signal has been outputted from the detector at the time of starting, the web 1 is retracted by temporarily feeding reversely, then it is fed forwards until the detector outputs a detection signal again, and is stopped. |
