COMMUNICATION CHANNEL ACCESS SYSTEM IN HIGH FUNCTION TERMINAL

PURPOSE:To improve the service ability by setting plural communication channesls newly without interrupting calls during communication through the use of a high function terminal. CONSTITUTION:The information on a multiplex subscriber line 1 is fetched entirely in the high function terminal 3 at a branching and insertion circuit 2, and an arbitrary communication channel or a common signal channel is selected at a channel control circuit 4 to attain the transmission and reception data and signals. The signals and data are transmitted and received by the circuit 4 under the control of a processor 7. The processor 7 at the high function terminal 3 controls vacancy of communication channels through the circuit 4 independently to access the vacant communication channels arbitrarily. The upper limit of the number of communication channels to be used at the terminal 3 depends on the number of input and outut buffers 5 for the communication channls, and the number of maximum available channels is adjusted arbitrarily by changing the number of the buffers 5.
