PURPOSE:To constitute a weighing apparatus having a large weighing capability, by use of plural inexpensive load cells having a small rated load, by selecting the load cell and measuring a load. CONSTITUTION:Load cells 201, 211 are formed by strain gauges 12-15 and 16- 19. A differences l3 of height between a load transfer body 8 and 9 of load cell structural bodies 2-5 is set so that the bottom surface of a plate 6 contacts with the load transfer body 9 first at the time of a load WP, and strain operation start points of the load cells 201-204 and 211-214 are made different. An output of an amplifier 23 by the load cells 201-204 at the time of the load WP is denoted as V1, an output by the load cells 211-214 at the time of a load WQ(WQ>WP) is denoted as V2, and they are set so as to be V1=V2. A microcomputer 28 opens a switch 22 when the load reaches WP, closes a switch 24, and measurement extending over a wide range of loads O-WQ is executed. |
