Facing board for producing curtain-type or laid-on back-ventilated surface claddings consisting of a backing slab of acrylic concrete onto which a decorative cover layer is applied so as to be integrally bonded and which is provided with fastening means for anchoring to the wall, the backing slab (1) made of filled acrylic concrete being provided on the visible side with a coating (2) of an unfilled coat of acrylic resin (laminate) coloured by pigmenting or by other means. The production is carried out in such a manner that either, first of all, the backing slab is prefabricated and the laminate subsequently applied with partial dissolution of the surface of the backing slab or, first of all, the laminate is introduced into a casting mould and subsequently the material forming the backing layer is cast in so that the two cure together while already bonded. <IMAGE>
