The counterflow heat exchanger comprises a coil (3), which consists of an evaporator (1) and a condenser (2) which are entirely surrounded by a housing (4). In this arrangement, the housing has through-flow openings (5-8) which are bounded by connecting flanges (9) for the connection of outer system ducts (10). The flow paths between the coil halves (1, 2) and the connecting flanges (9) are bounded in this arrangement by flexible, bellows-like sleeves (11, 12). Furthermore, means in the form of a cable pull system (14-17) are provided which effect centring of the coil (3) in the housing (4) as a function of its tilting position. It is possible with these measures to design a tiltable counterflow heat exchanger which has fixed connections on the installation side without limiting the functionality of the heat exchanger. <IMAGE>
