A window wiper device for vehicles is disclosed which, in order to achieve a harmonic movement of the wiper accompanied by a low generation of noise and with any desired speed characteristic over a freely selectable wiper angle, has a motor control circuit with a position controller which is fed on the one hand the rotary position of the motor power-output shaft and on the other hand the desired movement characteristic of the wiper. The control variable which can be tapped off at the output of the position controller is fed as control voltage to a circuit, preferably a power output stage, in which the motor is operated. <IMAGE>
