Front wheel suspension for motor bikes |
摘要 |
Modern motor bikes have high breaking decelerations (up to 9.5 m/sec<2>) and have comfortable suspensions, that is to say large spring paths with a low spring constant. The resulting severe dipping of the customary telescopic fork due to displacement of the axle load onto the front axle during braking brings about a change in the vehicle geometry. In order to counteract this, in previous solutions which have already been used by the motor bike industry for some time, the through-flow cross-section of the throttle in the damper elements is reduced during braking and thus the damping forces increased. In the present invention, as an alternative the spring force of the spring damper system is increased during the braking process. This can be achieved by means of different, suitable devices by increasing the spring constant (c) and/or the spring path (f). This permits the vehicle geometry to be maintained irrespective of the duration of the braking process.
