In order to bring about an adequate current cross-section of the connecting tab (3) of a contact strip which consists of a single stamped part of cold-hammered material, said contact strip has a Z-shaped part which consists of two bars (4, 5) having a web (6) and is arranged over the connecting tab (3) so as to reinforce the cross-section of the same. The first bar (4) of the Z-shaped part is in this case arranged resting against the connecting tab (3), in surface contact therewith. The second bar (5) runs with its surface parallel to the first bar (4), at a distance from the plane of the connecting tab (3). The two bars (4, 5) are connected to one another via the web (6) which is approximately at right angles to the bars. The second bar (5) is connected to the contact carrier (2) via a further web (7). Since, during the production of this contact strip, the bends can always be made only through a maximum of 90 DEG , even very cold-hammered alloys, for example cobalt-beryllium-bronze alloys, can be used without the material fracturing. <IMAGE>
