In a device for separating the tyres from the rims of vehicles which are to be scrapped, a solution is to be provided with which the separation of the tyres (7) from the rims is possible in a simple manner, in which case it is ensured that the number of individual components produced is reduced to a minimum. This is achieved in that a feeder track (3) for tyres (7) which are fed in a rolling, upright fashion and a separating blade (4) which is guided perpendicularly with respect to the feeding direction (16) are provided. <IMAGE>
