PURPOSE:To enable the communication at a transmitting speed corresponding to the capacitor needed to each earth station, by providing >=1 TDMA device to a satellite. CONSTITUTION:A multi-beam communication satellite contains a large-capacity receiving device 2 which amplifies the multi-beam received from an earth station, a satellite switch 3 which is connected to the output of the device 2, and a large-capacity transmitting device 4 which amplifies the output of the switch 3 and then transmits it to the earth station by the multi-beam. Furthermore, a small-capacity receiving device 6, a small-capacity transmittting device 7, a TDMA device 8 and a multi-beam antenna 5 are arryed to the communication satellite. In the case of the communication between a large-capacity earth station and a small-capacity earth station, the electric wave radiated from an earth station is received by the receiving device 2 and connected to the device 8 via the switch 3. The output of the device 8 is transmitted to a transmitting/receiving device 9 of the small-capacity earth station. The earth station has a TDMA device 1 of earth station and a small-capacity transmistting/receiving device. |
