PURPOSE:To carry out the stirring of a liquid having temp. difference in the upper and the lower layers thereof, by a method wherein a float is constituted in such a manner that the temp. coefficient of thermal expansion thereof is negative and the variation of buoyancy thereof by the variation of temp. is utilized. CONSTITUTION:A stirrer is constituted of a float 1, a valve 2 and an oval container 3 and these respective elements are fabricated from a material having a specific gravity slightly lower than that of a liquid stirred at a temp. T deg.C(T1>T>T2). In addition, the total balance of said stirrer is adjusted such that said stirrer is sunk in a liquid with a temp. T1 deg.C because of the volume contraction of the float 1 but the hole 4 of the container 3 is closed by the valve 2 to direct the holes 5 of the container 3 downwardly. That is, when this stirrer is introduced into a bath tub, it is floated for a while but water with a temp. T1 deg.C centers the interior of the container 3 and the volume of the float 1 is contacted while the hole 4 is closed by the valve 2 to carry water with a temp. T1 deg.C to the bottom of the bath tube. When the stirrer reaches the bottom of the bath tub, it is inclined so as to lower the center of gravity thereof to slightly open the valve 2, and water with a temp. T1 deg.C is discharged externally while water with a temp. T2 deg.C enters the interior of the container 3 from the holes 5. When the interior of the container 3 is filled with water with temp. T2 deg.C, the float 1 is exanded and obtains buoyancy to carry water with a temp. T2 deg.C to the water surface. |
