摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of measurement of the axial position of a revolving body by such an arrangement wherein coversion instruction signals being synchronized with the rotation of a main spindle are generated, and the interferent light at a point on the circumference of a reflecting mirror fixed to the revolving body is constantly measured. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting mirror 7 fixed to a tool 6 is provided at the position of center of main spindle in a hollow portion 5a of the tool's 6 main spindle 5, and a laser light 10b through an interferring device 8 is reflected by the reflecting mirror 7 and an interferred light 10d, thus generated, enters a light receiver 9. A notched hole of a rotating disk 13 installed to the main spindle 5 is detected by a photosensor 14, and its output is converted into a conversion instruction signal 3a by a waveform shaping circuit 15 and sent to an AD conversion circuit 2. A voltage signal to be generated from the light receiver 9, being synchronized with signal 3a, is converted into a digital signal 2a by the AD conversion circuit 2 and simultaneously with the completion of conversion, it is taken into an operation processing device 1 by an input instruction signal 2b and the position of the tool 6 is calculated. Since the rotation of the main spindle 5 is synchronized with the signal 3a, the accuracy of measurement is improved.
