PURPOSE:To realize a mode switching mechanism which is most suitable for microcassette type tape recorders, by making an arrangement that the switching of the FWD mode, FF mode, REW mode, etc., is performed by only controlling the rotating direction and rotating speed of the capstan driving motor. CONSTITUTION:When a capstan driving motor 8 is acceleratedly rotated, a swinging lever 124 is swung in the direction shown by an arrow (g) by the rotation of a driving gear 121 in the direction of an arrow (e) and an intermediate gear 123 at one side is engaged with the main driving gear 104 of a reel base 4 at the winding side and rotates the gear 104 at a high speed in the direction shown by an arrow (h). On the other hand, the torque of the main driving gear 104 is directly transmitted to a driven gear 103 not through a slipping mechanism, since the driven gear 103 and the main driving gear 104 are united in one body by a coupling gear 110 at this time, and the reel base 4 is rotated at a high speed in the direction shown by the arrow (h) under a non-slipping condition. Therefore, the tape in a microcassette is fast forwarded. |
