<p>1462387 1,2,3,6 - Tetradeoxy - 4 - O - trifluoroacetyl - 3 - trifluoroacetamido - L - lyxohex-1-eropyranose SOC FARMACEUTICI ITALIA 28 April 1975 [2 May 1974] 19209/74 Heading C2C Novel 1,2,3,6 - tetradeoxy - 4 - O - trifluoroacetyl - 3 - trifluoroacetamido - L - lyxo - hex - 1 - eropyranose is prepared by reacting 2,3,6-trideoxy - 4 - O - trifluoroacetyl - 3 - trifluoroacetamido - L - lyxo - hexopyranosylα- chloride with mercuric cyanide or silver carbonate in an organic solvent. It may be reacted with a compound of the general formula wherein R 1 = R 3 = R 4 = H, R 2 = methoxy and R 5 = OH or R 1 = R 3 = H, R 2 = methoxy and R 4 = R 5 = OH, or a protected derivative thereof in the presence of an acid catalyst and any protecting group may be removed from the product to form daunomycin or adriamycin.</p> |
