PURPOSE:To avoid wasteful electrical power consumption of a battery source and as well to prevent the overcooling of intake air in an intake air cooling device provided with a supercharging device, by stopping the operation of a device for feeding cooling medium to a heat-exchanger when he temperature of an internal-combustion engine is low. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust manifold 21 and the turbine housing 32 of a turbo- charger 30 are connected to the exhaust port 7 of an internal-combustion engine 1, and a heat-exchanger 23 is disposed in the intermediate part of an intake pipe 22. The heat-exchanger 23 is connected at its inlet port to the discharge port of a cooling water pump 25 through a conduit pipe 24 and also connected at its outlet port to a radiator 27 through a conduit pipe 26. The cooling water pump 25 is selectively driven at a predetermined speed by means of a motor 25a. In this case, means 50 for controlling the operation fuel injection by a fuel injection valve 20 and the operation of the motor 25a, such as, for example, a microcomputer, is provided for cutting off energizing current to the motor 25a when the temperature of cooling water detected by a sensor 42 is lower than a predetermined value. |
