<p>Method of making plywood for use with a formaldehyde based adhenic is claimed. The urea and/or at least one ammonium compound sheets are applied to one side of the veneer. The plywood sheets are treated so that urea and/or ammonium cpd. or cpds. break down to liberate ammonia. Steps are taken to prevent the ammonis from leaving the sheets. Used for making plywood sheets using a formaldehyde based adhesive. The procedure reduces the emission of formaldehyde. (Provisional Basic previously advised in Week 8343 ).</p> |
