PURPOSE:To detect surely a wrong card to prevent the use of it, by reading the card to decide whether the code peculiar to an encoder is recorded and registered or not in a device which accepts the card used for automatic transaction in the bank business. CONSTITUTION:A machine number coincidence deciding circuit 23 compares the machine number stored in a preceding-stage mchine number read and storage circuit 22 with machine numbers registered in a machine number storage circuit 13 to decide whether the machine number read from the card is registered or not. Zero data is stored in the circuit 22 when data of the machine number is not recorded on the card 1, and the machine number read from the card is not registered in he circuit 13 when data of the machine number of the card is forged; and in these cases, the circuit 23 judges the card to be a wrong card and outputs a disaccord signal. This disaccord signal is inputted to a display 14, and the card judged to be wrong is taken into a card taking-in device 15. |
