The present invention relates to an improved hydraulic lifting device or hoist in which the movable member which brings about the lifting of the load is formed by a cylinder which is guided in the axial direction on a piston with a fixed piston rod and is displaceable relative to the said piston. The cylinder is provided with a bow for attaching or coupling the load, while the piston rod is hollow and serves as a reservoir for the driving pressure medium. This pressure medium is drawn in from the reservoir within the piston rod with the aid of a single-acting pump and pumped into the cylinder via a pipe and via suction lines and pressure lines in which non-return valves are provided which control them. |
