PURPOSE:To prevent the bending and broken yarns in melt spinning, by incorporating bis(p-chlorophenyldiguanido)hexane dihydrochloride in a specific proportion and a naphthiomate type antifungal agent, etc. in polyamide fibers. CONSTITUTION:A naphthiomate type antifungal agent, e.g. 2-naphthyl-N-methyl- N-(3-toluyl)thiocarbamate, or benzimidazole type antifungal agent, e.g. 2-(4- thiazolyl)benzimidazole, or both are incorporated with bis(p-chlorophenyldiguanido)hexane dihydrochloride in an amount of 0.1-0.8 of that of the antifungal agent, and the resultant mixture is blended with polyamide chips. The resultant blend is then melt spun to give the aimed fibers. The amount of the antifungal agent is preferably 0.5-5.0wt%. |
