<p>PURPOSE:To detect a DC current, by applying a positive and a negative oscillation output to a saturable reactor, and detecting the terminal voltage across an impedance element connected in series to the secondary-side output. CONSTITUTION:The coil 12 of an iron core 11 forming the secondary side of the saturable reactor 13 is applied with a positive and a negative oscillation output through an oscillating circuit 14 so that the reactor 13 is not saturated. By the current of a line 10 at the primary-side penetrating the iron core 11, the reactor 13 gets saturated regardless of whether the current is AC or DC and a voltage corresponding to the current of the line 10 is developed across the impedance 15 connected in series to the secondary-side output of the reactor 13, thereby detecting even a leakage or excessive current, etc., flowing through the line 10 by using an amplifying circuit 16, level discriminating circuit 23, etc., even when they are DC.</p> |
