PURPOSE:To measure accurately the response time of a terminal in the host side, by obtaining differences of data transmission and reception times between a CPU and a communication control processor CCP and between the CCP and the terminal. CONSTITUTION:Just before data is transmitted from a CPU 1 to a CCP 4, a response controlling part A3 sets a time t1 read from a timer 2 and indicates that this data is an object of response measurement. A response controlling part B5 in the CCP 4 reads a time t2, when data is received from the CPU 1, from a timer 6 and sets this value to transmit data to a terminal 7 and sets a time t3 read from the timer 6 when receiving the response from the terminal 7. Similarly, a time t4 when the response is transmitted from the CCP 4 to the CPU 1 is set by the controlling part A3. The controlling part A3 calculates t5=t4-t1 and t6=t3-t2, and the time t5 and the time t6 are outputted to an output part 8 as the response time between the CPU 1 and the terminal 7 and the response time between the CCP 4 and the terminal 7 respectively. |
