<p>NEW MATERIAL:A 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline derivative shown by the formulaI(R is alkyl; X is halogen) and its salts. EXAMPLE:1-( 1-Methyl-1H-tetrazole-5-yl )aminomethyl-5-chloro-6, 7-dihydroxy-1,2,3, 4-tetrahydroisoquinoline hydrochloride. USE:Having an antihistaminic acition, inhibitory action on the secretion of gastric juice, and analgesic action, useful as a drug. PROCESS:A compound shown by the formula II is reacted with a compound shown by the formula III in the presence of an acid in solvent such as methanol, to give a compound shown by the formulaI. The compound shown by the formula II, a raw material, is a novel compound, and can be synthesized easily from a compound shown by the formula IV (R<2> is hydroxy-protecting group) as a starting compound.</p> |
