PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the rebound of a printing head by inserting a capacitor in parallel with a DC motor in a mechanism by which the printing head is allowed to come near or retracted by normally or reversely turning the DC motor. CONSTITUTION:A DC motor 25 is driven by normal or reverse turning by turning on transistors 21 and 24 or transistors 22 and 23, and thereby a printing head is allowed to come near or retracted from a printing position. When displacing the head by normally turning the DC motor 25, the normal-turning drive time is set up shorter than the displacing time of the head and a capacitor C 31 is provided in parallel. By this, from a time when the operation of the head is ended, discharge is started by the capacitor C 31 and driving is made in the same direction as the displacement, whereby offsetting rebound of the head. |
