SHEET CARRIAGE APPARATUS WITH SHEET ALIGNING MECHANISM

PURPOSE:To enable accurate alignment of a sheet when it is transferred by arranging a mobile member for a sheet carriage apparatus designed to retransfer the sheet with the tail thereof as leader once delivered with the tip thereof as leader so as to stop the tip thereof. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a sheet 40 discharged onto a tray 22 with a roll 21 pushes up a butting plate 23. The end of the sheet 25 brought into contact with the butting plate 23 is pushed back by own gravity or a returning force such as elasticity of the plate 23. This causes the sheet 25 to move on the tray 22 and have the tail thereof contacting a stopper 24 so that it is aligned with the position of the stopper 24. When the sheet 25 is refed, the stopper 24 is released through a solenoid 39 and a cord 38 to transfer it one at a time through rollers 26 and 27.
