PURPOSE:To avoid the effect of differential gain distortion and phase distortion, by operating a composie video signal over a prescribed horizontal period, expanding the time axis in response to the number of tracks to record the output signal and recording the signal on plural tracks. CONSTITUTION:The composite video signal SIN applied to a terminal 1 is given to an A/D converter 2, where the signal is converted into a digital signal and applied to an operation circuit 3. The circuit 3 consists of a 1H delay circuit 4 and a pair of adders 5, 6. In recording a video signal on two tracks, the time axis is expanded into a time axis double at write. Operating output signals A'O, S'O after the time axis expansion are read out from memories 8, 9. After the signal A'O is D/A-converted 17, the signal is applied to a magnetic head HA through an LPF 18, a precessor 19 and a recording circuit 20. Similarly, the signal S'O is given to a processor 24 and a burst signal SB is inserted, and then applied to a magnetic head HS via a recording circuit 25. |
