A securing element 16, for arranging accessory parts, such as luggage carriers 3 and props 4, on the frame 2 of two- wheeled vehicles consists of two tubes, has a centre piece 18 with a through-bore 24 for receiving a locking screw 17 and two flanges 19, 21 which issue from the centre piece 18 and bear against the frame tubes. To achieve better material utilization and better self-securing properties of the securing element, the flanges 19, 21 each form two outer surfaces 28, 29; 31, 32 and, in a projection on the plane parallel to the axis of the through-bore 24, have an approximately triangular shape, and their bases 22, 23 face towards the centre piece 18. The flanges 19, 21 are elastically deformable in the direction parallel to the axis of the bore 24. <IMAGE>
