PURPOSE:To obtain an entitled material improved in desilvering performance of a red sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, by adding a specified compd. and a specified amt. or more of silver halide to the red sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:In the entitled material having blue, green, and red sensitive silver halide emulsion layers formed on a support, the red sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contains a compd. having the shown formula in which X is H or a releasable group when the coupler couples with the oxidized product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; R1 is naphthyl, heterocyclic, or phenyl substd. by one of trifluoromethyl, nitro, cyano, etc.; R2 is an aliphatic or aromatic group needed to impart diffusion resistance to a cyan dye formed from this cyan coupler. An amt. of silver halide contained in all the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers is controlled to >=7.5g of silver/m<2>, and that of the red sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is controlled to >=3.5g of silver/ m<2>. |
