PURPOSE:To enhance the wear resistance by superposing a plurality of dies each having a prescribed thickness and a prescribed diameter of its hole on one another to form a composite die. CONSTITUTION:The titled die is composed of a plurality of platelike dies 20 and a holding member 30 for holding the dies 20 in a superposed state. The hole 21 of each of the dies 20 has a diameter 30-10mum larger than the diameter of a wire rod or a bar to be treated, and the thickness is 0.5-3mm.. The holes 21 of the dies 20 are matched, the dies 20 are held with the member 30, and a wire rod or a bar coated with a molten metal by hot dipping is passed through the resulting wringing die to wring out an excess of the molten metal. Since the dies 20 are separate from one another and can be moved relatively, an extreme impact can be avoided, enhancing the wear resistance of the die. |
