A method for the preparation of an animal feed composition comprising admixing an animal feed with from 0.01 to 400 grams per ton of feed of a compound of the following formula: <CHEM> wherein X, Y, Z, R1, R2, R3 and R4 are as defined in the text. Some new compounds with the same general formula are claimed. These phenylethanol amine derivatives and their acid addition salts act as growth promotors and fat reducing agents in farm and companion animals. |
