Device and method used for drying pulverulent and/or agglomerated and/or granulated solid materials, particularly to obtain dry soot pellets. The device comprises a container provided with installations and/or packings traversed by conduits. A fluidized bed may be arranged in the container. The method consists in using the device to dry the solid materials.
